petsmart phoenix trip 1024x768

We are thrilled to share that Pets4Life Louisville has been chosen as one of only 11 recipients of the impactful PetSmart Charities Incubator Grant, recognizing our vital work in the Louisville community to help pets. This grant aims to improve access to veterinary care in underserved communities, and we are excited about the positive impact it will bring to our local area.

🐾 Training and Collaboration
As part of the grant process, our team members Karen and Kristin recently traveled to Phoenix for an intensive session with PetSmart Charities and The Institute for Human-Animal Connection. This experience was invaluable, equipping us with the knowledge and resources to make a real difference in our community.

💙 Focusing on the 40210 Zip Code
With the support of this grant, Pets4Life Louisville will focus its efforts on the 40210 area, including the Park Hill, California, and Algonquin neighborhoods. Our goals for 2024 are to build strong community relationships and conduct meaningful research to better understand and support local pet owners.

🏠 Creating a PetCare Hub
We are establishing a PetCare Hub and Resource Center to provide comprehensive support for pet families. Residents will be able to access food, supplies, and educational workshops—all designed to strengthen pet retention and reduce homelessness.

💉 Expanding Access to Care
Our vaccine and wellness clinics will continue as we expand services throughout the 40210 community. With sustained outreach and compassion, we aim to make veterinary care accessible to all families.

This grant marks a major milestone for Pets4Life Louisville. By focusing on pet retention in one part of the city, we are helping reduce strays and owner surrenders across the entire community. Thank you to PetSmart Charities, our partners, and everyone who continues to support our mission to keep families and pets together—for life.
