On May 15, 2015, Pets4Life Louisville officially became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit—our IRS letter arrived, and our journey began.
What started as a simple act of compassion grew into a citywide mission to keep pets and families together, no matter their circumstances. Over the past decade, we’ve expanded from a small volunteer group to a network of partners, clinics, and supporters who believe that every pet deserves a chance to stay home where they are loved most.
Through community clinics, resource events, and emergency pet care, we’ve served thousands of families across Louisville. From our first outreach table to our modern PetCare Hub, every milestone has been possible because of you—our volunteers, donors, and advocates.
As we celebrate our 10-year anniversary, we’re reflecting with gratitude and excitement for what’s next. Together, we’ll continue building a compassionate community where no one has to give up their pet because of hardship.
